Article Analysis #2
The author of Rhymes With Front-Runner tried as hard as he could about the topic of the news story, which is about a woman who had presented McCain a question with a rather vulgar word. The question was, “How can we beat that [explitive]?” One thing that she commented as a side note was, “I can’t say it, but it rhymes with rich.” Shockingly, McCain responded the question. His response was, “I respect Senator Clinton. I respect anyone who gets the nomination of the Democratic Party.” One reason why that woman might of chosen that word to describe Hilary Clinton was because she is against another Clinton being in office, which shows that she is supportive of another candidate, most likely McCain because she was asking him the question. Or who knows, she might be a moderate? One thing for sure is that she does not want Hilary as President
Article Analysis #1
This article, Giuliani Campaign Tries to Minimize Fallout From Kerik Indictment, criticizes Giuliani’s campaign. But, what does this have to do with John McCain? He gives his views on Giuliani’s platform. McCain said, “Supposedly his mission was to help train Iraqi police. He stayed a couple of months, got us and left. That should have been part of anyone’s judgment before they would recommend that individual to be head of the Department of Homeland Security.” He feels as though it was irresponsible of Giuliani, having not questioned the newly appointed head of Department of Homeland Security, Kerik, about is failed attempt to training the Iraqi police force in 2003. Homeland Security may not be a part of Giuliani’s platform, but it is crucial to McCain’s platform, because he feels as though Iraqi soldiers need to be given the necessary training in order to finish the war, and to disband al Qaeda, which will in effect give the citizens in America a better sense of safety.
Poll Analysis
As the data shows, the percentage of votes for John McCain is steadily decreasing. In many states, such as New Hampshire, Iowa, and California, McCain had been receiving the most percentage of votes in the polls, putting him in “first place.” But something has recently the voters perception of John McCain make his “score” has decrease, going from about 30% of votes all the way down to about 6 or 7%. Perhaps the reason that his “score” is dropping because of the fact that he supports tax cuts, which implies that there will be far less benefits for American citizens? Or perhaps it’s the fact that he wants to keep the troops in Iraq to still fight in the war and disband al Qaeda, which will take a long time to accomplish that goal? There could be a plethora of reasons why his “score” went down. One thing for sure is that it will take a lot of hard work to reach the top again.
